Communisim Part 3: Causes, Cures... and Trash TV Friday
This Episode
Why are so many young Americans reconsidering capitalism—and even expressing favorable views of socialism and communism? The Discussants conclude their three-part series by examining what may be driving this shift, including the results of the Harvard Kennedy School's national survey of young Americans, recent election results, and the broader cultural forces influencing political attitudes.
Then it's time for the debut of Trash TV Friday. From 90 Day Fiancé and Big Brother to Love After Lockup, why are millions of people drawn to television they freely admit is terrible? Is it simply entertainment, or does it reveal something important about modern culture?
Evidence, humor, disagreement, and a willingness to challenge assumptions—without slogans, clichés, or talking points.
The truth is more interesting than fiction—and far more valuable than clichés or talking points.
Trash TV Friday Begins & Wrapping Up
In a world where every word comes padded, approved, and carefully curated, one show has misplaced the rule book. Safe spaces have been converted to storage here, and anyone saying at the end of the day will be required to explain what they did with the rest of it. Leave us a note support the show or just go shopping at dot G and the discussives calm This is doc G and the discussants on the sabbatical the doctor is the end Welcome into the Friday edition of doc G and the discussants Where today we lighten things up a little bit traditionally on Fridays Real treat for you today.
It's called trash TV Friday a segment that Really lives close to our hearts here in the doc G household I Hate to admit it, but boy do we watch some rotten TV around here? This is true. Yeah We do and we love it We yeah, we never miss it We record it. We go as far as to make sure we never miss an episode. So we're into it. Why don't you tell them what we're talking about? Well, we have several choices. We have 90 Day Fiancé. Thankfully, we don't watch all the spinoffs from that. But 90 Day. Let's see.
We also do. Love after lock up. Yeah, that's a classic. Yeah, that's an interesting one there. Below deck. Another classic. I've been watching that for several years. Yeah. What else? Well, you know, I mean, I'm going to put this in the category of trash TV. The vampire list. Oh, gosh. Yeah, I don't even know what to think about that. Yeah, well, we won't be reporting on. the vampire in the strap. But this is the kinds of things that we watch and are ashamed to say we do, I guess. But we're going to share it with you.
We did have some housekeeping to do, however. We felt like the last couple of shows were dedicated to this rising wave of what's called democratic socialism, which I labeled communism dirty, filthy communism. And we didn't really get a chance to explore very much why we think it's all the rage. Why are kids so enamored with this thing? And we didn't get a chance to say, well, kind of tie it all up with a bow. And one of the reasons why we didn't get to is because we just had too much material, I think, in the first couple of shows.
And I thought what would be fair in this situation is to let it again come right out of their mouths, so they can tell you themselves instead of us describing it. So we're going to put up on the screen a few of the things that are part of your platform. And I want to ask you, just give me sort of a true or false on these. Abolish the Senate. True. Okay, replace the presidency and Supreme Court as we now know them. Yep. Abolish ICE. Absolutely. Abolish borders and give amnesty to anyone currently in the U .S.
illegally. As a long -term plan, yep. Defund the Pentagon. Absolutely. Abolish prisons, at least in large part. Yeah, again, as part of a long -term program, yeah. Okay, so no prisons. Government or public ownership of most large corporations? Yeah, absolutely. So, there's no daylight. They want to have ownership of corporations. They didn't say public utilities, they said corporations. So, among other things, really, how do you plan on actually making a society work without prisons?
wide open borders. We saw that we lived through that for several years where throngs of people on a daily basis. It was unnerving to watch the world pour across the borders. We saw a little clip not. It's been a few days ago. What happened? What was it? Spain and Morocco, right? And people just running in. Now we noted that. We didn't see anybody carrying anything. A lot of guys in swim shorts with bare feet. So I kind of wonder what was actually going on. And if somebody have a two for one drink special across, you know, the the the border or something.
But they didn't look like they were planning on staying very long. That was nothing compared to what we experienced for years and years and years. So, I mean, we'd go back to that, apparently. No Pentagon. No Department of Defense, I guess that's unneeded. It's a pie in the sky, I think, completely unrealistic. Here's another. Now, that was on Fox News. I believe that was Shannon Bream with one of their co -chairs. That was Megan Romer, who you heard from a little earlier. Another co -chair turned up on Martha McCallum's show.
When we're facing in our housing system is that we and we say they have to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. They have to be responsible financially. But when we look at the landlords, we don't use those same standards. Landlords in New York have been making a 12 % return on their investment for, on average. How much should they make? What's fair for the landlord to make if you don't like 12? They're complaining that 12 is not enough. And we don't think that anyone should have a constitutional right to double -digit returns on their investment.
That's why we've implemented... No one should have a right to a double -digit return on their investment. No one has a right. That's not... What are you talking about? That's not in the Constitution, but what we see is that when we implement a rent freeze, we have landlords who are... crying that the government is going to put them out of business. They're trying to run a business and they're trying to do it effectively. Are all landlords perfect? Are some landlords lousy? Of course they are. But I just think that the idea that no one should make a double -digit profit is the antithesis of the desire to like, you can be anything you want to be.
And that is the basis of why people come across this border in throngs by the millions is because they have a chance for a better life and they do fully understand that in America, you do have the chance to be anything you want to be. You're only really limited by your ambition and your, well, your ability to turn your ambition into action. And I don't know, Sarah, what did you hear in that particular description? What did you hear in that description? What did you hear from that young man talking about socialism as they describe it?
Nothing bothered you? Nothing. She's sitting here. with her eyes pointed at the ceiling and her hands. Some things bother me for certain there. A limit on your profit, 12 % is too much. No constitutional right to your 12%. Of course, there's not anything in the Constitution about your right to profit, but I think it's very important that we recognize that there sits someone in judgment of how much money you can make and what to do with it. He also said he sort of separated people who are paying rent from the landlords, which is classic Marxism, the haves from the have -nots.
And he said, which I thought was semi -interesting, I guess, this. idea that we are asking people who rent to pull themselves up by their bootstraps why we don't apply the same standards to the landlords. You know, a lot of landlords I know are just small business people and they're just renting, you know, apartments to people. Maybe they have a duplex. Maybe they just have one thing to rent and they've saved their money pulling themselves up by their bootstraps. to be able to have a small business where they offer that place to live to someone for rent and in return they're supposed to keep the property up.
That costs money. They're supposed to make sure that the taxes are paid. That costs money or they'll lose their property. Anything that a tenant might need they need to be prepared to go and deal with. That's real effort and it takes time and it takes money. So if you freeze the rent and allow these people no way to increase their profits even while their costs are going up. What happens to these evil landlords? Well, they lose their property and they lose their ability to keep their property going.
I think there's a basic lack of understanding about business in general. I think that they believe that there's this big pot of money out there that two or three percent of people control and that they're all in cahoots and they tell each other, hey, don't give these people any of your money. That's just not how it works. I don't think that they certainly they've never had to make a payroll. They've certainly never had to come down at the end of the month and say, well, this is what we made. This is what we spent.
And are we still able to keep the doors open? Now, that's the definition of pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. You were in business quite a while, Sarah. What do you have to I mean, you must. have ideas well I think a lot of people that haven't owned a business think that oh you just all you do is take money to the bank they don't know where the money comes from and they don't know the cost of what it takes to do everything that has to be done but yeah it's just kind of oh yeah you own a business you just take money to the bank Yeah, and a lot of people think that because you own a business, I've been there and had several that you're just rich.
Right. Well, you know, there's more to flesh out on these ideas. And when we come back in the next segment, we'll try like I promised we would do to clean up this. discussion and move into our Trash TV Friday. You're with Doc G and the Discussants. Young Americans Are Losing Faith
You're on sabbatical with Doc G and the Discussants at the intersection of policy, politics, and culture. Have a question for your favorite discussant? Well, please visit us on the World Wide Web at thediscussants .com. The Doctor is in. It's good to have you back. It's Doc G and Sarah, the professor with the day off. Also Frank, not in the studio today. And so we're just holding it down. And yeah, I think we can probably figure that out. So while we were away, Sarah goes to the internet, which is so wonderful.
Back when I was in radio for a long, long time, That wasn't possible. You couldn't you couldn't gather information that quickly. What did you find out about the little? Well, I just was curious. We were talking about the border crossings there earlier, and I was curious what happened to all the guys that had crossed over into Spain here the other day. Most of them voluntarily. Chose to go back because they had nowhere to go. They were stranded. They didn't have any it was chaotic They had nowhere to go.
So they decided to go back So basically basically we're right about it, you know, the observation was these guys don't have anything in their hands. We didn't see Like it looked like a jailbreak but all these guys, you know running into Spain and we noticed Hey, they're not carrying anything. A lot of them didn't have any shoes on just like swim. They're like they're not planning on staying very long. So what did you say? 60 % of them like 48 ,000 went back. Yeah, yeah. So according to this report anyway, so so I guess a theory proven somewhat right, maybe.
Specific place to go and stay. Yeah, so you do you need to you need a plan. I can't imagine just going to another country and in some swim shorts. And I think that, you know, there's probably just a matter of let's go see what's going on and come back. For a lot of them, it sounds like 60 percent of them. I did want to not belabor this any further than we had to. I did a report several years ago for a government organization sort of describing. what was going on with youth. And part of that report referenced the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics.
This is a survey that's done just every few years on young people. And those young people that were surveyed over several years now have been. Support for capitalism continues to erode among Americans. especially young Americans, with polarization persisting across most demographics. So, when we're talking about this, overall, only 39 support capitalism, down from 45 % in 2020. That's 39 % in the capitalistic country that support it. By party, 25 % of Democrats, down from 39 % in 2020, and 59 % of Republicans, 59 % of Republican youth, that's concerning to say the least, down from what should be 100 % in a capitalistic country among conservative youth, 59%.
That's down from 67 % in 2020. 37 % of independents, down from 42%. By education, 45 % of college students And 34 % of non -degree holders, 45 % of college graduates, they are the only percentages that are supporting capitalism at this point. And by financial security, 31 % of those struggling getting by, 42 % comfortable or stable, and 54 % support it that are doing well. That's only slightly more than half that are doing well. But it goes on to say that support for socialism is modest. and trending downward.
I don't know how that can really be if support for capitalism is going down. Yeah, you got to think that support for the opposite of that would be increasing, but it says and it depends among groups. So overall, 21 % support socialism down from 30 % in 2020. And I think maybe that has to do with so you know, some things that have come along. namely the debate over critical theory, critical race theory, and it was tied to Marxism, socialism, those sorts of things. So I think it probably raised awareness a little bit, but by party, 47 % of Democrats up from 41 % in 2020, 6 % of Republicans down from 11%, which is just.
sort of amazing to me. I don't know how that squares with Republican platform thinking at all. And by education, you can almost guess, by education, 22 % of college students, 18 % of non -degree holders, and 29 % of college graduates support socialism. So, you know, it's really quite stunning that, let's just say, half of people. I think that's kind of fair across the board. Don't support what the nation was founded on. That's capitalism and your ability to use your freedom to do what you want to with it in order to pursue the vote, pursue your happiness and your vocation are more and more sort of retreating.
And so I thought, Sarah, I ask you why you think so? Why do you think that this is occurring? Because, you know, among most groups, Support for capitalism is on the wane. Well, I kind of think it starts really early and the progression is not even noticeable because what happens when they go to, let's say preschool, even in school, when they start in school, when you take supplies, it used to be. You took your own supplies. They were yours. You use them. You could share them if you wanted, but they were yours anymore.
That's not the case. It's all community property. So when you buy your stuff, it's for everybody to use and nothing belongs to one person. And so that's just continued. Forward for years now, so they don't understand how come everything that here is here doesn't belong to all of us I think that's a fair characterization of one of the things that helped to socialize people and their expectations and that You know in the in the name of let's not have anyone be singled out because you know they maybe brought a box of broken crayons or didn't have the wherewithal to buy a box of crayons, which is sort of hard to believe in this day and age.
I mean, I've seen people afford things that, they're affording many, many things that are less important than their children's school supplies. But in the name of those things, in the name of making sure that no one has an uncomfortable moment, which, by the way, can be educational in itself. That might inspire and it used to inspire prior generations to say, I, you know, I will not allow my kids to go through those kinds of. Right. Yeah. Right. That, you know, I'm going to make sure that I provide these things for my kids when I get a little bit older, you know, in the name of making sure no one's uncomfortable.
These communal things apply. I wanted to get to the idea that we've now supplied another three or four grades of education where people are now dropping their kids off literally at grade zero to have someone else raise them for the majority of the day in many situations. So when the government raises you, when they feed you for free, that's Part of it at this point basically sort of expected when I show up I get a free meal I get free Health care I get free this and that We're talking about a generation a couple now Maybe maybe three that have grown up with a very different understanding of the world and that and what the government Should provide for them.
So for me if we think that education is the primary way with which society reproduces itself. It reproduces its institutions, what it thinks is important, the ideas that everybody believes are important. That's what schools do for society. That's sort of its purpose. What is it inculcating when we see these things? And then on top of all these things, then we know that there are some places that are really pushing hard back against capitalistic ideas, the school itself, sort of embracing critical theory, whether it's critical race theory, critical queer theory, critical, and saying you're part of an oppressed group while others are part of a ruling class.
And never do you cross between those groups. That's classic Marxism. Right. And it basically tells people that you sit in your silo never to go to another one. And that's just un -American. And it has the understanding of America is that you can do as you want to with your life. I think it's very easy to start to blame the system because you no longer have to take responsibility for yourself. And I think that has a wide appeal for a lot of people. So we sort of laid this at the feet of some of our institutions, maybe some of our most important institutions.
And if it doesn't have that effect, what effect would it have? It's been sold as workforce development. Well, you can sell anything to the right if you tell them it's workforce development. So I'm selling the ability for the government to raise kids by saying, hey, everybody gets to go work now. I guess they're not really thinking about the people who stay to raise the kids. I don't know what category they fall into. Anyway, when we come back, we're going to get into trash TV, which I think will be a whole lot more fun than what we've been dealing with here for the last two or three shows and segments.

Trash TV Friday: 90 Day Fiancé
in the wrong place. You're on sabbatical with Doc G and the Discussants at the intersection of policy, politics, and culture. Have a question for your favorite discussant? Well, please visit us on the World Wide Web at thediscusses .com. The Doctor is in. And we welcome you back for another segment, Doc G and the Discussants. And to our inaugural. I almost said that right. Almost. It happens. Yeah. Our inaugural segment of Trash TV Fridays. We don't have any theme music for this yet. I promised Sarah earlier today, we're going to get some some theme music.
I don't know what it's going to be, but it's. You know what? It'll be a surprise. I just had an idea. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's it. It could be a bad thing. Anyway, no theme music. Just into it with trash TV. And Sarah is going to tell us about what's going on with trash TV. We told you a little earlier some of the things we like to watch. Yeah, it's. It's a thing for sure. 90 day. What do you think about the season so far this year? Who's your favorite? Well, let me ask. What do you think about Katie?
OK, so describe Katie for our folks. Well. What's a good way to describe Katie? She likes to make out with. practically anyone and everyone she sees when she's drinking which is all the time she puts it off that she has OCD I don't really think that's what that is yeah I think it's probably good old -fashioned alcoholism don't you think yeah and her folks seem to be well aware of her proclivities to drink and then enjoy the company of others maybe literally make out with anyone that is there while her fiance has just came here.
Right. Let's tell a little bit about the premise of 90 Day Fiancé for those of you who are unaware of this worldwide phenomenon. So there's folks that get together from other countries with an American and they come to the country and they have 90 days to get married or they got to go. Got to get out. Right. They got to get out if they don't get married. So, you know, that's not a whole lot of time. They come on K -1 visa. Is that right? Right. And so they don't have much time. They don't usually know each other at all, except for maybe a vacation or the Internet.
And so for me, I started watching this like season one. Oh, wow. Yeah, I you actually introduced I know So I just always thought it was interesting to see how many of them were actually here for a green card and a green card only so that was always the And you can tell from the get go who it is is after the green card. And there are actually real couples, too. I mean, we see real couples that actually have feeling for each other and that, you know, they might actually. And there's been plenty of marriages from this show and divorces and divorces at this point, too.
I've been watching it that long. So. So they but the ones that are just here and you know it pretty much instantly you usually say huge huge age gaps you usually see huge gaps in You know, like Debbie and me. Is it Meadow? Is that how you say? Yeah, yeah, yeah. This year who wants to be an actor? Yeah, you usually see that and you usually see people batting way above their, you know, their batting average in terms of what their their match looks like. And so there are some that that are kind of comparable that.
could make potential good matches. They're usually the ones who are the actual couple. And they. Yeah. I'm always curious how they come up with the couples that they get on there. I feel like any more. They're just people that they have gotten on for a story. If you know, if you know and you're listening to us about the night, the trash TV. If you know somebody who knows producers at 90 Day or if you are a producer at 90 Day, please email us. We want you. First, we want to say thank you. Secondly, secondly, we want to know exactly how you put this thing together, because it's the best train.
One of the best train wrecks on TV. Complete train wreck. So tell us. So this is a couple. We were talking about Katie and it's his name, Josh. I think so. Yeah. And I think he's from Great Britain. Yes. Seems like a very nice guy, extremely well -spoken. And he's with this girl who's living in Portland, is it right? And she enjoys the bar a lot. A lot. A lot. She's had several failed relationships and she herself will admit that this is part of the problem. Her folks know the problem. So we're watching that one kind of close because...
Well, what amazed me the last time was she made a remark about if her kids weren't baptized in everything that that might be a deal breaker for her. And I'm like, you're religious. How? Yeah. I mean, her folks certainly are. And I think that's, you know, they definitely are. Yeah. And I understand that. But she most definitely is not. Well, not living that way. Not exactly. Well, I don't know. I mean, she's got a felt, you know. For me, it's like, you can kind of tell what the fault is. She's kind of okay when there isn't the brown bottle around.
But then there's, yeah, I don't know either. Let's go on to somebody else. You mentioned... I don't know how you say his name. Mido from Egypt. Right. He's from Egypt. He wants to be an actor. Right. That's why he's here. He is an actor supposedly in Egypt. Right. Right. I think he's been like on one scene in a like. Oh. not a series, but a soap opera. Couldn't think of the word. In Egypt. In Egypt. And he had like one line as all that I have ever found. Okay, so see, I didn't know that he had that little experience there.
Oh, yeah. So that's the sum total of of because he acts like he's been, you know, a big celebrity there. Well, so he's not told. No. Okay. That's what he's told her. So but he's never she's never seen any of his work. But just just to let our audience in on it a little bit. This is a guy who thinks that, you know, Tom Cruise and Other people need to be alerted to his presence here in the country so they can, you know, get together and talk shop, sort of. Right. So anyway, it's all about the acting for him.
Yeah, he met. And what's her name? Is her name? I think it's Debbie. I think it's Debbie from New Orleans. Yeah. And now how much older is Debbie? Oh, I'd say maybe a 20 year age gap at least. They don't sort of look at all like a couple. Absolutely all the time. And he basically lets her know why he's there. And she knows it. Right. Right. So that's not going so well. He literally picked his nose and flicked it. Did you remember seeing that? He literally. I hate to admit that we watch a show that that actually happened.
That was horrible. Yeah, it was. Anyway, that one. What do you think? I mean, I mean, that one is obviously here's the green card in the career. Obviously on the last show they had gone to look at wedding venues and he tells her. Well, I don't know. I think I have to it's probably time for me to think about going back home. So she runs off crying. She's all upset. And then he brings out a ring. I got you. Yeah, I like what the asshole My impression of that was that he's always had the ring for just such an emergency.
Oh, yeah He's just going to keep it in his pocket for if she if she decides to kick me out for real I'm and that and he used it. He pulled it out. He pulled that card out of his pocket Anyway, it's a train wreck This is one that we and that I enjoy most because it's clear why the guy is here and it's not because of you know His affection for his betrothed Another one of the couples that's one of my favorites is Marissa, I believe is her name. And she works for a famous wedding venue, not venue, but wedding dress shop.
And she brought this waiter bartender from the Dominican Republic. Where she was on vacation. And now she's now she's concerned that they might not be on the same mental level. It's way more than that. OK, so maybe I'll add a little bit to the fabric of this story. She went on vacation in the Dominican Republic, met this guy who's a waiter, a bartender. And then it's, I guess, a whirlwind love affair. It was like what? Like a week. down there, I don't even know how they could, you know, steal enough time away.
And then it's several months before he shows up here. Basically, the minute he shows up, she starts talking down to him. And I mean, down to him, you know, one of her kids. Yeah, like one of like one of her kids. So we always are, you know, amazed at how quickly we usually become team immigrant. Instead, instead of the person from, you know, the US, it's usually It seems like, well, we basically root for the immigrant or the person that's trying to come in because a lot of times they're treated horribly by our countrymen.
And this is a particularly bad case. I mean, she really talks down to this guy in a way that I can't believe he can handle. So I think maybe that one might be a little bit more like, am I? here for the card to I don't I don't know. He seems like he does seem like a really nice guy. But I don't know what he's going to do here. Yeah, you know. Well, we've got another segment and wrap up today's show. We've got more trash TV for you. First, drown it with a bucket of water, then stir it with a shovel. Wow, you sound just like him. Then he said... If it's still warm, then do it again. Where can I learn all this? And we're back for the last segment of the show today. Man, where did it go again? And it always just starts and then it's finished. And we had so much important things to say today like more 90 days. Yeah more 90 day during trash TV Friday Wait, what do you what do you have for us? No? No, I want to talk about love after lockout Oh love after lockup.
Let's move on then. Yeah. Yeah. This is another Premiere show. Not sure how it came across that one That's your fault as well, yeah, I think it might be probably so so Let's see. I don't know which one. Probably my favorite storyline this time is the one with Bonita. She is freaking hilarious. Yeah, she is. And she's smart. She's really smart. Sharp. Yeah. Like quick. Yeah. Yeah. So tell us, tell us who these people are. So Damon, first, the premise of the premise is you have a person that's outside.
on the in the real world, as they would say. And then you have somebody that's in prison. So they communicate. Sometimes they're even married before they come out of prison to the person that's outside. And so they're usually just married. They just. Yeah. You know, I mean, they're not all married. They're not all married. Right. Some of them are. Right. And and so you've been communicating with a with a prisoner this whole time. Right. And so now They're coming home and it's usually not the first time they've been involved with a prisoner not usually It's sort of there, which is interesting.
It's sort of their flavor. Yeah, if you've done it once, why would you do it again? Well, especially with how it usually turns out which again is the train wreck that we're looking Yeah, so go ahead. So Damon was in prison he had Bonita which was his Baby mama as they would the vernacular of the day and then Diamond Gigi, whatever gorgeous is the new girlfriend. Yes. Yes. Is her name goddess? Her name is goddess. Yeah, and she but it's Gigi That's right But yes, her name is goddess so She he comes home he actually does two different releases from prison.
Yeah. And by that, let's just flesh out a little bit. Two different releases. So on. So he can keep these women separate so they don't know about each other. So he gets released for real on one day and he goes home with one of them. Right. They. Yeah. She picks him up. And he has to arrange to go right back to the prison the next day to get out again. So the other one can pick him up. Yeah. Yeah. It was crazy. I'm like, man, you've got not a lot of sense, but he managed to keep them separated for a little bit.
But on the last episode, I think that was when they actually met up with each other. He has this big idea that he's going to have a poly relationship with them. That was what I was going to say. What's missing from the story is his goal. from the get go has to, you know, put these two women together and they're going to live in a polyamorous relationship, which is is a lifelong dream. I think Bonita is going to turn the tables on him and she's going to take Gigi for herself. Well, I don't know about that.
It's a storyline. Yeah, I think she's doing it just to trip his trigger. Right. And that's and so tell them about the kind of the last season finale of this little tryst. Was what well there they were he he gets the women together in a bar Yeah, oh my goodness Bonita let him have it. She's Mustard ketchup drinks the whole nine -yard all over his face But again, which makes great TV. Oh, yeah. I mean, yeah. Award winning television in the Doc G household yet again. But before it was over, Bonita is kissing on on Gigi and like she's coming home with me.
Well, which is which was done for dummies benefit. You know, I mean, basically, because again, this girl is sharp, quick, smart, really knows how to turn the knife when when she needs to. And so, you know, she basically Let him have his way. But what? But you're not involved. You're not invited. You're not part of it. It's just us. So bye bye. So to begin with, really mad, you know, different ones ran out of the bar like they weren't coming back at different times. And then you saw, you know, this the slow evolution towards, you know, to hell with this guy, we're going to turn it all on him.
So he becomes covered in mustard. And I knew him being kind of covered in mustard and several drinks thrown on him. What else? Maybe some ketchup as well. Yeah, I think so. Yeah. And so by the end of the night, he leaves. He's leaving. Of course, he's calling somebody else. Right. But he leaves by himself. Yes. And how did it turn out? He turns out with no one. Is that right? Exactly. He's calling his mom and his mom's like, I told you it wasn't going to work because this guy this guy tells his parents what he wants to do with this they played along with it for a while they didn't really have it they kept everybody separated as much as they could anyway this is yeah but that leads me into another thing there's a new show that i don't know we might have to watch just to see it's the poly show i don't know what it's called i don't want to watch it but again yeah we've had a discussion about that it's like i hate to support this program right yeah because it's just kind of nasty i mean these are you know these have their quirks for certain but they're not just downright nasty This this Polly show is, you know, maybe a little more than I want to have my Nielsen rating already out.
Go towards. Yeah, I mean, like like it's going to make a difference whether I I support it or not. So, yeah, that was one that we've talked about just a little bit. Anybody else from love after lock up? That's the best storyline. Right. It has been the most entertaining. Let's see. Well, we got about, I don't know, a minute 30. So this will have to be the last one. And then Trash TV Friday is over with the the guy who calls himself Red. Oh, that was just creepy. Kind of. Indeed, it is. I mean, yeah.
So describe Red. I'll take a swing at it. OK, so he's again in a relationship with a woman who's getting ready to be released from prison. And he worked there. He worked in the prison. Right. That's how they met. And I think there was a little bit of trouble because I think the powers that be found out. And yeah, canned. And then and but the love affair goes on. I'm not going to describe the guy's look. If you remember, what was a Tiger King? Was it Tiger King? Yeah, yeah. He reminds me of a touch of Tiger King, right?
I didn't have a big mullet. Only the guy's mullet is red and he wears, you know, a big fur coat and a lot of times zebra pants and heavy mascara and under eye eyeliner. Yes. And then and then it's lipstick. And I mean, it is he is a bizarre looking character and is and the lady he's. Seeing is sort of bizarre in herself. So they actually kind of make a couple in a way, don't they? Kind of, yeah. They look a lot alike. But very, very, very strange. So I guess we'd better wrap it up. I've only got about 15 seconds.
