DG&D at Sea, Gripebox & Trash TV
This Episode
The Discussants go backstage for a Sunday show that begins aboard Carnival Glory, where Doc and Sarah discovered that the real luxury of cruising may be having ordinary life handled by somebody else. Then Doc’s Gripebox takes on the checkout interrogation and packaging designed to keep lawful owners away from their purchases. Trash TV closes the hour with 90 Day Fiancé, Double Lives of Suburban Wives and Baylen Out Loud—from St. Louis families turning adult content into a household business to the question left after Baylen and Colin’s wedding: does the ceremony resolve anything about independence, responsibility and married life?
DG&D at Sea: Carnival Glory During COVID
There is of course an easier way to make a program like this. Choose a side, memorize the approved vocabulary, repeat the proper talking points, and under no circumstances ask an inconvenient question. We considered that approach. Briefly, instead there will be facts to examine, assumptions to challenge, arguments to make. and absolutely no requirement that everyone arrive at the same conclusion. Imagine that. This is Doc G and the Discousants on sabbatical. The Doctor is in. We sure are on this Friday and we are so happy to have you back and along with us and we're happy to wish you happy Friday.
Well, we all are kind of wiping a brow around here over that because, I don't know, we had some fairly heavy listing Monday and Wednesday. Yeah. Over some, and then the week previous, it was heavy lifting too. So, you know, I don't know about the other discussions, but I really look forward to Friday because no. obligation to do all... No pressure. No research really. Just kind of have fun and talk about what we want to talk about. So you are with the discussions backstage and today we have a cruise review with DG &D at Sea.
A brand new segment. DG &D at Sea cruise review.
Gonna crack open the old gripe box. for the first time. Now, if you haven't heard about the gripe box, you need to go to the website. It's docgandthediscussance .com, thediscussance .com, dgnd .com. There's a lot of different ways to get there, but the easiest one is, of course, the name of the show, .com. You'll see several places where you can participate and drop your gripe in Doc's Gripe Box, and we've got a couple of them today. looking forward to them. Then some trash TV. The 90 -day saga continues.
We're about, well, just two, what, episodes away from the end of that season. So we've... Well, then we'll have a tell -all. Yeah, then we'll have a tell -all, which I don't know how much we'll have to say about that, but we've rotated a new show in. Oh, yeah. Yeah, we're not really... I don't know how I feel about it, actually. We'll have to see if the professor's watching that one. I think he might like this. He might like that one, yeah. It's called The Secret Lives of Suburban Wives, and it's actually based right around the St. Louis area.
Do they look like the Stepford wives? Are they dressed like the Stepford wives? Kind of, yes. Actually, a couple of them were teachers who lost their teaching licenses over this. Oh, that's a good sign. Yeah, then they had a little cabal of three or four or more of them that all get together and have cocktails, and then they make what they call, in quotes, content. So we'll have a rundown on what's going on with suburban wives. Secret lives. And then we wrap up Balin for the season. Yeah. Yeah, Balin got married and one of them...
Balin is... was the funniest thing I ever saw. It was. It was super sweet, too, though. Oh, but it was funny. It was funny. Sarah had tears running down her eyes. I was. I was crying. In more ways than one. In pretty much one way is what it was. Your opinion. Yeah, it was something. Just hang around, so if you're a 90 -day fan, you want to stay close to us. The gripe box is coming up. We've also got this suburban wives thing, so don't go very far. I don't really have theme music for DG &D at sea, so we're going to use the movie review.
Okay. And that's my own personal shortcoming. I didn't prepare well enough for this segment, so it's the movie review music bed, which is, I don't know, adds like zero to the thing, but we're going to use it anyway. I'll call that trite. It's not trite.
Okay, I can't think of a better word. We took a cruise back in 2021. Right after COVID. No, it was right during COVID, actually. It was during the pandemic. It was my first... What kind of disease was permeating the cruise ship? Wasn't there something going around on the ship? Actually, I think it was probably the safest cruise that anyone could probably ever go on because... You know there weren't very many people there weren't very many people number one that was great right and number two Every place you went you saw somebody The Filipinos there's a lot of Filipinos that work on these cruise ships and they At least the captain didn't drive close to the coast and then turn the ship over on its side, right No, that didn't happen.
But what does happen is the Filipinos chase you around and they say washi washi. Yeah, washi washi. Wash your hands. Washi washi washi senor. It's actually washi washi all the time. Drove us crazy. And then, you know, do you have your mask as you go into certain areas, which was tough enough anyway. I started carrying a drink around with me all the time because they want you to wear that mask. And so I carried a drink around with me. with me all the time, and when they looked like they were gonna come up to me and make me put my mask on, I took a drink.
So they wouldn't say anything to me. No, I did not want to wear my mask, Tom, was the whole point. It's like ridiculous, it's like... What was it I saw on the news the other day? These mask parties? Oh, yes. Did you see that? Yeah. That's horrible. Yeah, it was it. So it's it's in San Francisco, of course, of course. And there's a bunch of well, they're LGBTQ plus people and they're all enjoying masks and these mass parties with silent DJs. It's the weirdest thing you've ever seen. It was bizarre.
Years after. I mean, they want to wear these masks. They want to wear them. Yeah. One of the guys. Said they asked him. Well, why are you wearing this mask? Oh, well the world just smells so bad and I'm thinking dude is probably your breath I Mean come on. Yeah. I'll bet you anyway. I got sidetracked. Sorry I think you're probably right because I looked at the guy. Yeah, it was horrible Yeah, you you can wear your mask is what I thought So 2021 we were October 24th is when we disembarked from New Orleans aboard the Carnival Glory on our way to Roy Tan Belize City and Cozumel as some of the stops along the way during the pandemic we were required required to have vaccinations we had to prove that which was not easy to prove because you had what we had to have a clear covid test if i remember right within two days right of boarding the ship i mean you had to be clear of covid within two days and of course mask repeatedly in force and lighter crowds was the good thing than we would then we've encountered since and we pretty much well we'd take a cruise At least once a year.
Yeah, at least. We can get a boat and float around because it's so easy. So, you know, the Carnival Glory, you know, I guess we promised a review here. The Carnival Glory is an older ship. Yeah. Has it been put to bed? No, I think it's now docked in like... I don't know. I don't want to say Fort Lauderdale. Something like that. But I think it's in Florida. You know, they rotate the ship. Nothing wrong with this ship. Nothing wrong with the ship. Was there an area on the upper deck where the ladies could tan topless?
No. I wouldn't say that there wasn't anybody tanning topless. Maybe there was a reserved area just for that. No. There is an adults only section, but... Not, not a nude section that I'm aware of. I guess I can't say that there's a nude section, but there are people, you know, they take tops off, lay on their stomach, you know, and then turn over the other way, that kind of stuff. But no, not a, nothing, you know. Not that I've ever noticed, but it that way. Right. So, you know, just an older ship, but...
Fine right fine the only thing I didn't like was There is a I forget what level it was on where we had to go up a level to go down Yeah, well, that's because of on either end of that ship there are one of them is the the huge Entertainment arena and on the other end is a huge dining room And so, and one of them is kind of in the middle of the ship, so you can't just walk through the hallway all the way to the end of the ship. You either have to get on an elevator or stairs and go down below it and go by, or get above it and go by.
And if you don't remember exactly where you're at, and that... That takes some getting used to. So, yeah, we don't like that about that ship at all. No, we did not like that. Right. We kind of, I don't know, we figured out, hey, we can cut through here, but still you've got to do some planning. Right. Yeah, to get where you want to go fast. Did you all work your way down to the engine room ever? I did not. Well, we did. I think you did. I didn't. We didn't, you know, take a like a formal tour, which you can do.
but when you disembark the boat a lot of times you go down to the very bottom levels and Get off that way and you can see the crew cut quarters. They don't like you to see those things But yeah, I mean I've seen I've seen things. I'm not supposed to see yeah Which are very interesting to me like they are the time I mean very interesting me one of those times I'm going to go ahead and take a Tour a formal tour. I'm not interested Okay, well, I'll let you go and do your tanning, which is what you always do.
Okay, that works. So, again, clearly an older ship, perfectly acceptable. Nothing really dazzled me aboard the ship, although there are some, you know, the glass elevators and the main entryway and the bar there. There are some pretty areas on the ship. But I'll tell you what was great and what is always great about a cruise is it's a week away from everything. Or you don't have to do a thing. You don't have to do anything. Are you comfortable sleeping on that thing? I mean, I've seen so many Titanic videos that I think I'd want to stay awake constantly.
Well, we're usually okay. There's been one time that I remember that you had a hard time sleeping. Otherwise, I think it's been okay, you know. I mean, I know you're not going to hit an iceberg in the Caribbean, but still... Well, he's tall, so that's a problem in the first place, but I think it was... A lot of times the mattresses are two mattresses that are put together and I don't think this one was stabilized correctly. No. And so it kept falling apart. That's actually happened a couple times aboard Carnival.
Yeah. That I didn't much care for. That is a problem. I think this is a first -world problem. Yeah, it's for certain. It's a problem. It's first -worlders only. So the ocean view room, which is what we had, which is basically a big porthole. You don't have a balcony on this cruise. Okay. At least we're able to see outside. I have some issues with confinement, and so that alleviates that issue. I found it to be fine and the service for the room was fine. Actually, I think the service that we had from that first cruise was the best.
Now, I don't know if it was because there were fewer people. or if just the service in general was better. Yeah, I agree. That was very good service. Our steward was very good. Service is always better in every aspect of life when there's fewer people, I think. Well, and that's just it. I just wondered if that was the majority of why it was so much better. So the dining is one of the things that we don't... care for a board carnival. That's done at specific times. And that's why we don't like it.
Right. We sort of would rather do something else other than carnival because we have to be at dinner at a certain time. And sometimes you're seated with people when you'd rather be seated by yourself. We've met some really nice people along the lines, but then, you know, we also like to, you know, have our conversation instead of the tables conversation. It's a mixed bag. I'd rather eat when I want to and other cruise lines we've been on we've been able to do that. Went to Roy Tan where we liked the beach club but there were a lot of vendors on the beach and they were intrusive.
That was the only thing that we disliked about that. I mean we liked the the ocean was great. The beach was great. The vendors on the beach, not so much. Cozumel, basically a tourist where we went. We didn't really go on any excursions there or Belize, but we really dislike just going a short Belize. We've skipped that and subsequent tours because it can be kind of, oh, I don't know. It just feels sketchy and feels kind of, you know, not clean. I was sitting in an airliner once. in Belize. They had the doors open.
Hot day. I don't know what we were doing there. Maybe refueling. But anyway, outside around the plane were men with machine guns. So that was kind of strange. I thought, well, we're in the Banana Republic. Yep, and that's happened the last time we were in Roatan. Last time we were in Roatan, there was a group of soldiers with machine guns kind of hidden around a corner. And I thought that they were there to clear up any problems that might come up with the tourists on the beach. They were well armed and so, you know, it doesn't make you feel great when you know that they're just steps away from the beach and there must be a reason they are there.
So, I don't know. We thought it was acceptable. Right. And we had fun. Right. The COVID things were much, but they were much too much everywhere. So, you know, no matter where we went, we were running into those things. That was manageable. Right, right. So would we sail the Carnival Glory again? Well, we did. Yeah, we did. We did. And I probably would again. Yeah. Just to get away. Yeah. It's one of the easiest... You guys are a lot more comfortable with the political situations around the world, especially in Banana Republics.
than I. Yeah, well it's something that we think about. We do, and I can tell you for a fact that we are not near as comfortable as most of the people on board because they just get off the boat, they'll take off in a vehicle they rented, don't know where they're going, don't know anybody, and they just take off. They're going to Raul Castro's Palatial Estate back in the hills. They do it and I don't have, I'm not comfortable doing that. Yeah, me either. I like to stay, I don't want to be in a car operating it myself because heck, you know, here in this country, Las Vegas used to have a little, and so does LA, little cabels of people who will hit you in the back.
And then, you know, sue you because of that. And I mean, if that can happen to you here, think about what could happen to you there, and especially if they spot you as American tourists. So, you know, I'm probably a little too paranoid about that. But it's it's something that I think about quite a bit. You're listening to Doc G in the discussions. What are we going to give the carnival glory back in 2021 during the pandemic? I don't know. I'll go I'll go eight. Alright, I'm going to say seven. I'm going to say seven.
Solid seven.

You go to the website, docgandthediscussants .com, and if you scroll down just a little bit, you'll see Doc's gripe box.
You hit a button, and all you have to do is... give us permission to use it on the air, which there's a checkbox for. Couldn't be any easier than you put in your gripe and you hit send. You don't even have to buy a stamp anymore. You know, back when I was doing radio, you had to buy a stamp to get to Guam. I can't imagine anyone having a gripe about this wonderful, wonderful show. Oh, it doesn't have to be about the show. It can be about anything. It doesn't matter. That's the best gripes. Yeah, that's the best gripes.
In fact, this one comes from... Well, let's open up the old gripe box and see what's in there today. Man, that thing has got a heavy lid. You're going to have to spray a little silicone spray grease on it. Yeah, it needs something. It comes from Adrian. And it's about checkout interrogation. Oh. Yeah. Where did you say? Adrian? Adrian. She says that she went to buy toothpaste, but she didn't come in to establish a long -term relationship with Walgreens. She said, here's the questions I get. Are you a rewards member?
How about your phone number? Email? How to store credit card? Extended warranty? Pronouns? What are your pronouns? I'm surprised that I haven't been asked that. Give it some time. Right. Charity donation, would you like to do that? Yeah. Would you like to have a printed receipt? Right. How about a digital receipt? Would you like one of those? And finally... We can provide an email receipt too, babe. Right. Yeah. A digital email. Finally, the one that I hate the most and Adrienne says she hates the most.
Would you like to tip the person who watched you scan and bag your groceries yourself? yeah the one the one that I crack up is is the one where they say are you sure this amount is correct What if I say no? I'm not sure of anything. I'm keeping a running total of this in my head. I've also calculated the tax for both the municipality and the state. Let me see. Oh, I think they're off by about a half a penny here. Can I even get pennies back and change anymore? I don't think so. Everything is rounded.
I'm not dealing with anything but basically digital money these days. I rarely give anybody cash. Dealing with digital money. So I'm wondering, can you get pennies back and change? I don't know. I don't use cash very often either. I don't think you can. You don't think you can? Okay, well I wasn't sure. You cannot at Menards or the Post Office or Walmart. You can't get pennies back at those places. The receipt actually says rounded. They round it in your favor. If it's two cents that they should get, they don't take it.
They just delete it and round it. You get two cents more. in the form of a nickel or a dime or whatever it is, but no pennies. So it's in your favor then? Yes it is. That's good to know. I figured that it wouldn't be in your favor and nobody would even notice or say anything. There are so many things in life now in society in your disfavor, it's nice to have something in your favor. Right, right, right. I agree. I figured for certain it would just be, you know, go against you because people are so lazy that no one would ever say anything.
Especially with the post office. So I think the post office would round up to their advantage, not down to yours. Exactly what I thought would happen. Well, please forget it. I'd even rent an office. It'll go that way. That'll be worth thousands, millions of dollars in taxes if they made it go their way. And so you're right. That's exactly what'll happen. Bernie Sanders, you know, make sure they round it up, what, 25 cents from the billionaires, the billions and billions of energies. And we're going to have to charge you a roundup surcharge for the actual rounding.
Right! Yeah, what a great... Say, don't... we shouldn't have said. Don't give him any ideas. You gave him an idea. There's an idea that we'll see very long with Abdul Saeed. Gosh. And he'd say it like this. Don't you want to? Don't you want to round it up? Don't you want to round it up to pay your fair share? Shouldn't you want to do that? That's exactly what would come out of his mouth. Okay, anyway, back to fun. Yeah, so I was just thinking the other day, I think it was at CVS. It might have been Dollar General.
That receipt must have been a block and a half long. Oh, plus you get two. You get your receipt, plus you get a little coupon thing sometimes. Walgreens, the same way. You'll get your receipt, and then you'll get a coupon for so much off your next purchase or whatever. Or you get a receipt, you get a little piece of paper, you can mail it in, they'll give you an 11 % discount. Yeah, Menards. We use that all the time. I have an envelope that I keep. So we like those receipts. Yeah, those are okay.
And they're not a half a block long either. So Adrienne, I guess every discussant here is on your side with this one. We agree. I think it's a good gripe. You're not the problem here. It is indeed. the receipt that you're getting and the interrogation that you're subjected to every time you go to some establishment. It happens to us at restaurants as well. So we're with you. Let's move on. Okay, what's the next one? This one comes from Mike and he's talking about packaging that won't even let you have what you bought.
There's lots of those. Okay, so he said the premise here is that he paid for it. Why must I now defeat the manufacturer's security system to use it? Excuse me. Plastic clam shells requiring industrial tools and he says peel here tabs that do not peel, seals that shred, cereal bags that split down the side, reusable packages that never reseal. Yes, and scissors. Now check this out. I think this is particularly clever. Scissors that are actually imprisoned inside packaging that require scissors. Mike's not happy about this.
He must have really needed those scissors. He kind of needed some scissors, I think. I have a solution. I have a solution. You put on chain mail gloves and use a single edge razor blade. That's kind of what I've got going on in the kitchen right now. No, I'm serious. I've got a drawer full of tools for packaging. You can use a can opener. I've got more than that. I've got pliers. I've got needle nose. I've got a little saw actually. I've got a little metal saw because some of that crap is just unreal.
I'm guessing it's because of shoplifting, maybe, I don't know. But some of that stuff, I don't know how some people, especially feeble people, you know, older people who have no strength in their hands whatsoever, how in the world do they get into this packaging? Well, if it's childproof packaging, they just have to find their grandchildren to open it for them. Right. That's good. Or ask the pharmacist for non -childproof packaging. Can you do that? Is there such a thing? Well, the reason I ask is because it seems like the pharmacist is now the arbitrator of everybody's privacy.
You know, they may have to make sure that they communicate with every other pharmacist if you have a particular kind of prescription. So, you know, you can't go shopping your prescriptions around. And why? Because of ne 'er -do -wells that cause everybody else to give up their particular privacy rights so we can make sure to protect them from their selves, which does no good anyway, because then they just go get fit. They're gonna find a way. Right, you know, I mean, they just find... I know I tried to change my prescriptions from Walmart to a local pharmacy and I don't know how much time and phone calls I had to spend just to get my prescriptions changed to a different pharmacy.
It was horrible. Yeah, because of Nerdy Wells that didn't have made your life so much more fun. And I kind of think that this packaging thing may be along the same lines. Professor, what have you had trouble getting into lately? Anything? Not trouble. That's what she said.
Please, Doctor. I need to apologize for that. I'd like to apologize for it. Apology accepted, dude. Okay, what I wanted to know was, I haven't really had any trouble getting into anything, by the way, but anyway, I heard on the news that a guy, maybe you've heard this, at a city council meeting in Los Angeles, He's proposing taxpayer -funded masturbation tents for the homeless to be set up along boulevards to where the homeless can go in either by themselves or with a companion and pleasure themselves at taxpayer expense.
What do you think? Oh, God. Well, that sounds like that's packaging that's fairly easy to get into. I didn't know they required tents for that. I thought they just did it anyway. I'm glad they're requiring a tent for it. I mean, you know, I... And the whole outrageous thing, at least they have a tent, at least. Whatever, I guess. Hey, hey, hey. It's a big tent. It sure is. It's a big tent. Oh, man. Maybe we ought to cut down on Fridays, possibly. Stop drinking. They're getting worse and worse. Yeah, it is.
It's getting worse and worse. I think that's going to about, that's about all the gripes. I think we'll probably just close up the old gripe box here. Let me see if you can help me lift this thing. That thing's heavy. Wow. Wow. There it is. Get something modern. Get a modern digital safe. Yeah, but the gripe box has got to have some character. I kind of like it. I understand that, yeah, but still, I mean, I think you're going to cut yourself on the damn thing. Thanks to Mike, and thanks to Radian for sending us your gripes.
Those were good ones. We appreciate them, and I agree. with both those gripes. So if you have some gripes, send them to Doc's Gripe Box because they all find them red live on the show and we're gonna do something nice for people who gripe. So send us your gripes. It's easy to do. It's easy to do. Yeah, it's easy to do. Alright, well when

We admit it But somebody out there likes it too. Oh, yeah, because the views are going up so All right Where do you want to start? Well, let's get 90 day out of the way.
Yeah, let's go ahead and get that out of the way there that season's getting ready to sort of wrap up Yeah, and looking forward to that because there's several little cliffhangers going on Yeah, yeah, I'm waiting for the tell -all. I love the tell -all Yeah, the tell -all is always where you know, somebody ends up almost either in a fistfight crying leaves the building and divorced Yeah, right In the last episode, let's start with Katie and Josh. So the night before the wedding, Katie raised threesomes with Josh.
Surprise! She wanted to know whether, you know, he might be open to that, or whether they would still consider that a monogamous relationship. And so she's trying to determine whether that's going to be okay, and ask whether he's confused or refusing to hear an answer he just doesn't want to hear. Let's just go to Josh and Katie then. I don't want to go into marriage with there being any questions or things covered up that should be uncovered. I was chatting with Megan and Paige about, like, openness in a relationship and it kind of confirmed what I was already thinking, which was that, like, monogamy is...
what I'm making a commitment to and like just committing to you and only you and kind of looking for the same in return and How do you feel about that? Can we never make out with anyone again? But what if in the future we like want to have a three -way or something like both of us Does that fit into monogamy? If we were both wanting that and talked about it, that would fit the definition. I don't know if that is what I want. I don't know what the future holds. I just want to be clear that what I do know is right now, I want to make a commitment to you and only you.
I have mixed feelings. I don't have any doubts about him. It's more like I have doubts about how I'll act in that situation. I don't think there's going to be any doubts about it. I just love flirting. I've always loved flirting. How she's going to act in that situation. No. I don't have any doubts about how she's going to act in that situation. So just to, if you're not following 90 Day, since the very first time we met Josh and Katie, she has basically been making out with anybody within With no retribution.
Absolutely none. Hey guys, did she ask the question, will a three -way fit into monogamy or how does a three -way fit into monogamy? You heard that right. Yeah, she wanted to know it later on if they decided if that would be okay. This girl has no business getting married. I Mean she's seen this I don't know how many times now He has seen it so and she has said this I don't know how many times now I do not know why he continues And so very shortly we're going to have the season finale will they actually get married won't they I don't know that There's ever been a couple that hasn't gotten married And I don't know.
I mean, I think maybe their hat I just I couldn't I couldn't tell you of one that has it To me, it seems like they all get married If he goes ahead and marries this this girl, he knows what he's getting. So does he want the green card that bad? He doesn't strike me as that kind of guy, but he knows what he's getting he can't there can be no mistake about that Let's move on Paula and Thomas I don't really like this couple very much and I think they may not get married. The family comes, as we said last time, they crowd into this guy's little apartment.
There's like eight or ten of them. There's a whole lot of them that come into this guy's small one -bedroom apartment. He doesn't like perfume. He has a reaction to it. Maybe he's even allergic to it. He's asked her not to wear it. They come in drenched in it, and she can't understand why he doesn't like this. He is a little too sensitive about some things, but I don't think maybe that's one of the things that he's not allowed to say, hey listen, I've got an issue with this. So they're at each other's throats.
quite a little bit, especially her to him over expectations, money, where are we going to live, buy me this, buy me that. But to her credit, the guy lives on his floor, basically. I mean, he has a furniture. So he's not really prepared for her when she gets there. And it looks like they're about ready to go over the edge, basically. I mean, he I don't think is real into it anymore. She is not really into it anymore. I don't know what's gonna happen. I mean, it's simple things though, like they were going to dinner the night before the wedding, and she's dressed up, whatever, and he wants to ride the bike to the restaurant.
She's in a dress, she's dressed up, her hair and makeup are done, and you put her on the back of a bike? If I'm going to ride on a motorcycle, I want my girlfriend. No, it's a bicycle. High heels. Oh, a bicycle. A bicycle. Yeah. And it's a money. It's a cost saving. Yeah. Yeah. It's all about money with him. Everything is about money. Yeah. You know, you can kind of see where the tension is here. She had a business of her own in Brazil. She did OK for herself. Everything is a penny -pinching situation here.
I think it's mostly because the guy's just not used to what he's going to have to. But some of it is, I don't even know what he does. Yeah, I don't either. I mean, he's home all the time, so he probably doesn't have much money. I don't know. Anyway, I just, I don't know. I feel bad, actually, kind of for both of them, because they're neither one willing to bend. mean I don't think she's not willing to give up on hey I want furniture I want these things I'm manifesting these things and you aren't helping or seeming to want to do any of this.
She's a hothead. He's not. She's Brazilian for goodness sakes. What do you expect? Yeah, I mean she's just spicy. Right. So, that one's probably not going to do it. Shay and Annabelle, though. Let's stop by there real quickly before we move on to double lives of suburban wives. Yeah, okay. They got married. I don't know that I've ever seen... I mean, she was upset. She was crying. because her family weren't there. I don't know why they couldn't be woken up with a phone call to make it to the wedding, but that's beside the point.
It was it seemed like the family reconciled the family reconciled. It was a nice ceremony It seems like the daughters accepted her after after the whole thing the night before I'm shocked that we reported on that was the inheritance the the inheritance discussion so they had a Look like a nice ceremony and they are now and married like the first couple to be married at this season and it looked like Annabelle was having a really fun time Yes, at the party after the wedding. All's well that ends well with Annabelle and Shay, who looks like a butterball turkey.
He really does. He just looks dirty all the time. Double lives of suburban wives where we think that the professor can get behind. I think he would enjoy watching this show. It's a new show that we're going to report on. St. Louis area series follows six women balancing marriage, children, faith, and ordinary suburban respectability with lucrative adult content businesses. Boy, does that sound fascinating. Yeah. So here's the business. Tammy and Drew built theirs together. Macy, they're selling stuff online.
They have OnlyFans accounts. They're selling panties online. They're selling views online. They're doing what guys want them to do online. Macy concealed hers from her relatives, so no one supposedly knows about this. Brianna and Megan, like I said earlier, lost teaching careers after they were exposed. How in the world they thought they could do this and not be found out, I have no idea. And Heather questions whether the money still fits the person she wants to be. Let's just give you a little taste of what's going on with double lives of suburban wives.
I posted, like, just a little nip slip, and I was just mind -blown at the reaction that I got. The compliment she was getting, she just, like, fell in love. Then it just kind of took off from there. She was doing what they call shower stream. She would not even make it sexy. She would shower and walk away with four or five grand just by taking a shower. That guy bought three pairs of panties. from this next week. Absolutely no one in my family or my community knows that I do adult content. These, we need to mail these out.
They think that Macy's a stay -at -home mom. Yeah. And I do day trading. Did I tell you that Tammy got recognized with me? I was like, what the f*** is happening? I'm sorry. And having to accept that with us, like, coming out, that that... is probably going to happen to me. I just kind of feel like... Are you scared? Yeah, I'm scared. It's really only a matter of time that people put two and two together that I do adult content. And we would rather it come out with us being able to tell our side of the story and control the narrative.
My sin, quote unquote, is out there in public, but then they're just doing it behind closed doors. Publicly, it's talked down upon. Why is that okay, though? What do you think your family is going to think when you come up to them? Gosh. Let me set that stage just a little further. So that woman and her husband, Macy, were sitting there. You heard that little machine. They're vacuum -sealing panties. as they send them to fans and they're talking about this business and how much money they can make and you know the husbands all smiles about this I think we said a little earlier or last time we talked about this show that it makes me wonder you know I mean there was a time when husbands didn't want their wives to work at all.
Now we've moved to a place where they're pimping them out. Are these panties worn? Who knows?
I used to work with a girl bartending and she would sell quote her panties. She would go to the bathroom where she had a bag that had underwear in them, brand new underwear. She would snip the tags off of them, take them back out to the guys, and sell it to them. Yeah. How much? I don't know. I didn't ask how much. That would have been my first question. Oh, I didn't care. I just would have had to know it. What could make it lucrative enough for you to do something? Anyway, it's lucrative. This thing is lucrative.
So there's another couple, just to flesh this out a little bit more, there's another couple that have a brand new Corvette in the driveway, two brand new trucks, one of them's an F350 and another car and they live right across from a neighbor and the neighbor likes to walk across the street and chat with this lady and they supposedly have no idea what they do but no one in the neighborhood there's not a nice they're not bad houses there's not a great houses but no one's got the stable of automobiles that they we're talking about not just a little bit of money here there's a you know there's seems to be It surprises me.
I cannot understand who would pay for this. Who would pay for this? Let's go to the professor. He might understand. He might have an idea who would pay for this. Well, I'm thinking regarding that little scenario that Sarah described about the lady going back wherever to the restroom and bringing up new panties and selling them. I mean, that to me is deceptive and fraudulent. I thought Sarah was going to say she goes back there, takes off the panties she's been wearing. while serving the guy his drinks, and then he buys the panties.
That would make sense to me, but I don't see buying brand new sterile panties that doesn't have the scent. Oh, I'm quite sure she probably took and just rubbed it across her chest. Her chest! Hey, hey, hey! No, we're too far afield here now. First, the professor wants to send in a complaint to the attorney general because there's some flagellant activity going on. And then you want to go there. That's too

What was that? It was your subject matter. Okay So the season three finale of vows out loud For Balen, Balen works to remain present as excitement and testifies in her tics.
That's pretty bad tics as though. Her tics. Sammy gives the maid of honor speech which is Balen's sister and Alan and Balen share a father -daughter dance. Which was much better than most father -daughter dances. He, back in the day, used to be a hip -hop dancer. And, I don't know, how old do you think Alan is? This is Balen's father. I'd say he's 50, probably, at least. I'd say 50. the guy can breakdance. The guy did a worm like you cannot believe out of nowhere. I was shocked. I mean, the guy was fluid with it.
You would never suspect. So it was a good hip hop dance that they did together. It was, as Sarah likes to say, cute. So Colin demonstrated that he understands the daily reality that he's entering with Balin. You know, and that's nothing easy like we've said before, but has he still been protected from the hardest parts? I guess we'll find out. Here's the wedding vows, which are the most unique vows I've ever heard. Oh, God, everyone bear with me, please.
Three years ago, what started as a simple swipe became the greatest dick. God, die, um. The greatest blessing God has ever given me. Dick. You came into my life during some of my darkest moments, and without even realizing it, you became my medicine. When I was hurting, you loved me gently. God, die, um. Twist my dick and call me a cinnamon roll fat ass. When I felt lost, you reminded me of who I was. God used your heart. Your patience and your love to pull me out of places I thought I'd never escape.
Today I stand before God and before everyone we love. Sucking b****. No. Promising not only to love you, God die on, but to choose you every single day. So there was the nuptials from Bailyn's side of it. At one point, Sarah was laughing so hard that she almost fell out of her chair, tears rolling down her face, and I think it was about the time Bailyn turned around and flipped off the entire crowd, every last one of them, put the bird and just kind of swiveled to the entire crowd. Well, after hearing that, I can see why you guys are so fascinated by it.
You never know. You never, I have never seen a bride ever flip off the entire, it was just, still I'm not sure I saw what I saw, but it was the entire, and how many people at the wedding? It didn't look like that many, but. 100 people. Probably. Easy. 100 or 50. Very nice wedding. And you know, the vows in themselves were. Unique to say the least and and she basically started the whole thing off by flipping each and every one But you know it was It's bailing. That's what happens and it's to be expected and you know people were people were giggling they were And and it was it was good though.
She cannot help it No, she can't help it. And so she knows that, you know, she knows it's funny to people and she's pretty good natured about it. Now sometimes it gets her down. But she knows that this is not, she knows that most people are not used to this. I never see anything like it in my life. She is a genuinely nice person. Yeah, and she's very pretty at her wedding. and then to see that action. I mean, she looked beautiful. And to flip every last person off the ground. She made sure to get everybody.
She swiveled on her heels. Oh my word. It was funny. Yeah, it sure was. But it was. Oh my. So what was the most genuine wedding moment that you observed there? Sarah? The ceremony? Yeah, what did you like? I mean, it was a nice ceremony. Right, yeah. It wasn't necessarily a ceremony. It was the week before when she went out to see her dad and have the first look. Of course, Colin and Valen's first look was good, too. But, I mean, I don't know. It was... it was nice overall yeah if i would have been asked that question i would have had a tough time finding a moment but i think you picked it the moment between her dad was was really uh uh a sweet moment because he's been There for her and not that her mother hasn't she has been too right, but he really really worries and He's been there in some really dark times.
I think we mentioned Previously on the show that she had it went through about with where she was thinking about taking her life Her dad was there and they talk about that as maybe some of the worst days in their life They don't really describe what happened, but they you know And I think he's really sort of amazed that it's actually a wedding day and that she's right. I think they're all amazed at how far she has has come in the last couple of years. What about the worst part? Colin and the horse.
I agree. It was just kind of cringe. I'm sure he had in his mind, I'm Prince Charming, you know, white horse type thing. Tell people about his horse. I've never seen this before either. Yeah, I've never seen anybody ride in on a horse. But what I didn't understand is you couldn't... Did you even see, could the crowd even see him come in on the horse? Yeah, sort of. They could? Yeah, they could. I mean, he kind of rode up to the side. I know they all clapped and stuff, but I don't know. I didn't see that they could tell he rode in on the horse.
I was more referring to the fact that it was so important to him. For weeks and weeks and weeks, he talked about his desire for his perfect wedding day. Now, You know, I've had a lot of guy friends over the year and I've never ever had a discussion with a single one of them about what their perfect wedding day seemed like to them. To him, it was talk, talk, talk, talk, talk about riding in on this horse. It was... I just kind of think it's a Prince Charming thing that he had. Yeah, but guys aren't supposed to care whether they're Prince Charming or not.
Well... I guess he did, so that's where I feel like it came from. Probably, I guess, but I mean, just completely outside my experience. I thought he was going to split his pants. Yeah, getting on and off the horse. And grandma, his grandma had one of the best, it was actually Bailyn's grandma. I said, what are you doing with this horse? This horse is going to take a dump right in the middle of everything, and everybody's going to have to get up and leave. Of course, she used the real word. And it actually did happen that way at the rehearsal, but then they were spared that embarrassment.
They had a fantastic reception, had a good time. Everybody loved the food, which is to be expected. They have the same kind of taste in food that I do, so. Yeah, they had a little bit of everything. Although the cheese fountain did not look appetizing to me. No, it did not. And especially after people had stuck all their chips in it. I don't like those things anyway. But the dances were good. So that's going to do it for Balen this season. That's going to wrap it up. I guess so. So let's get out of here with What's our best cruise memory for the cruise we went on in 2021?
I think the day we spent at the beach. I think that was my favorite, the favorite day. I agree again. That's great because I was going to say what's my best memory? I think it was just the, you know, the drama with the COVID stuff, which wasn't a good memory, but it's the most, it's a vivid memory. But you're, you're right. The worst port. during the cruise. What was the word? Belize. Belize, yeah, I agree. Best gripe tonight. Who had the best gripe? I don't know. The first one I liked probably a little bit more because I use it all the time.
Yeah, yeah, the big long receipt. I hate that and I hate being asked all those questions. That was Adrienne's gripe. Couple least ready for marriage. Katie. Katie, I agree. What did Mike write about? Doctor, what did Mike write about? I can't remember. It was the packaging.
Which I hate, too. I just hate it. They were both good, but I think the receipt questions all the time are irritating. Oh, the interrogation lawyer.
