Who Taught You to Say That? The Policy Network Behind the WNBA Fight
This Episode
The WNBA’s argument over who qualifies as a woman did not begin in a basketball arena. Doc G and the Discussants trace it back through an organized advocacy network that connected children’s medicine, schools, sports, pronouns, insurance, identity documents, litigation, media strategy and institutional enforcement. The organizations left a documentary record—including model policies, attorney networks, complaint systems, opposition research and explicit instructions to limit the reach and legitimacy of dissenters. Does that record prove a conspiracy, a coordinated policy network, or something between the two? And has the Trump administration answered it with a policy network of its own?

The Doctor is in. Thanks so much for joining us again. You're listening to Doc G in the discussions and we're made it to a Wednesday. I won't use that term. I just won't do it. I maybe should because everybody does, but it's Wednesday and that's how it's going to stay. And we are always happy to have you along. Thanks so much for all the downloads. And the listening that you're doing, we really appreciate it. Tell a friend. We really do appreciate you much more than you know. You know, Monday we spent an hour talking about some problems in the WNBA and the fact that they won't define what a woman is.
But at the same time, they won't let a couple of gentlemen who today feel like women join their draft in their ranks. So where did all this craziness come from? It's been a long time in the works, and a lot of money, a lot of time, a lot of testimony in state houses, and it is on multiple fronts. It's something that I've done a lot of research about. PhD in policy analysis and so it's right up my alley in things that I like to study and look at. So the title of the day show is who taught you to say that?
The policy network behind this WNBA and it's in other places. The WNBA controversy did not arise on its own. Advocacy organizations built mutually reinforcing medical, legal, educational, athletic, administrative, and communication strategies to normalize transition interventions involving children, turn asserted identity into an institutional truth others must then affirm. Something that we talked about making me lie about things and impose legal professional media or electronic costs and economic costs on dissent.
We played a little bit of that on the Monday show where Sophie Cunningham was attacked by journalists for taking the stand that she took for girls in sports. They do not yet prove one secret that I'm really trying to prove that there is a command center directing all of these efforts, which I think one of these days we'll be able to tie that to a K Street organization in Washington DC. So the WNBA fight looks like a sports controversy. who belongs in Women's League, but the League inherited its answer from a policy system built a long time before Sophie Cunningham spoke, or fans wore XXXY shirts.
So, the opening question today is who created the framework that tells a Women's League it must accept asserted identity and treat the question itself as dangerous? So, I wanted to go back to some hearings that I was part of for about five years where we saw lots of little kids coming into legislators to testify because they wanted to play sports and that's all they said they wanted. I want you to listen to this carefully. Sunny Bryant and her mother, Becca, have testified in front of legislators in Austin multiple times.
They say they want to share their story because they feel like people will better understand their position if they get to know them. Sunny Bryant is eight now, but she says she's known who she is since she was four. I am a girl. This is not pretend. This is not a phase. And it's real. There's a difference between saying, I want to be a girl and I am a girl. And that was... made very clear by her. H supportive and most of her don't ask much. They've a like baseball and gymnast when the Texas Legislatur a bill that would make it only be able to play on bo and her mom went to Austin Solution in search of a problem.
We haven't had any lawsuits in the state of Texas. We haven't had any cases. And the population of trans kids is so small. So that means she'd be the only girl in a locker room, only girl on the team. She won't have that community that you get. I like baseball, tennis, gymnastics, and soccer. What is in my heart is... I think I should be able to play sports because I am a girl too. Okay, so that was Sonny Bryant, very cute little boy who dresses and lives as a girl, at least the last time we checked.
A lot of these little... What's wrong with mother there? Son, you are a boy. Hello. Well I don't understand why they can't play sports. He wants to play on the girls team not the boys team. That is the question that no one ever or the assertion that no one ever leveled in one of these hearings. So we would see child after child after child who would say I just want to play. So play. Yeah. And that's what should have been said many times. You have a place on the team. It happens to be on the boys team.
There's no athlete that gets to decide what team they play on. And so they would act like, hey, Just let us play. I just want to play with my friends I just and of course that would get the visceral reaction out of a lot of love Oh, oh, oh my we're being mean to this little absolutely not they had all the same opportunities as anyone else They just decided they wanted to play on their chosen team and no one ever pointed that out in five years worth of hearings which was the most basic question there were the hearings were over transgender kids in sports and what was going to be done with it it was never ever asked never ask it used to just drive me insane because There were no opportunities that were being withheld for these students.
No, not at all. Also, did you notice some other things that were said? Tom pointed out mom. Exactly. Yeah, now. Who's pushing this? Yeah, so if you notice the artwork for this show, it shows a little child as a marionette with a lobbyist in one ear and mom in the other showing them what to read. I watched that happen, I don't know how many times, where they came up and read statements while moms sit beside them and basically held their finger under the place where they should be. I saw kids that were there maybe four or five years running, missing school to do so.
the same testimony over and over again. And by the time they got a little bit older, you would see the confusion starting starting now. They came in pretty young. A lot of them came in pretty young. But I guess what I hope that someone might pick up on is they said that she started saying this when she was two or was it? I think she knew who she was at four. Yeah. And so it was. You know, she knew exactly who she was at four years old. Claimed it could not be a phase or that this child knows who they are at four.
Now, that's a problem in itself in identifying, you know, a childish wish from a child that age shouldn't really understand, really. Some might. But a lot of others don't they make this transition they come right back What else did you notice? What else did you notice about the clip? What I'm saying is there's a lot of inaccuracies here I Don't know what you wanted me to notice I don't know what I just wondered what you did notice Tom and notice anything here that bothered you besides what we noted Well, it's more or less what I said before it just seems like and Combine with what you said about knowing who you think you are at two, three, four years old.
Where's mother? Why doesn't mother correct her son? Why does she let this perversion grow in him? That's what it disgusts me. I think it's a remiss parent. I think that's... That's right. So the message would start with, I just want to play. Of course, you know, a little cute kid that just wants to play. I could just watch legislators hearts melt. Oh my. And then they'd say, I just want to play with my friends and I'm a girl. Play with your friends. No problem. After hours. If you're going to be on an official team, though, then that's kind of segregated by gender.
Hello? But the statement, I'm a girl, that's not so. It just was not so. No, son, you're not a girl. Right. Children supplied the emotional case. The policy claim hidden inside was access to the female category on the basis of asserted identity. Now, there's a nationwide project. NCLR's All 50 project explicitly seeks one transgender inclusive high school sports policy in every state. They were there to advocate for the same policy in every state where you could compete in the gender that you identified with, including using the bathrooms and the documents of your choice.
They also distributed these school toolkit. A free -to -be -me joins names, pronouns, sports facilities, dress codes, and speech, then teaches escalation through documentation, institutional, and federal complaints if school officials or other officials refuse to comply, maybe a teacher, and uses traditional or social media to sort of beat up on those who don't want to go along. So, you know, was, I just want to play a child's isolated plea or the public -facing language of a nationwide policy project.
I say the public face of a nationwide policy pro - uh, pro - uh, project protest. We saw that too, but project was the word I wanted to find. So we need to take a break here, but sports was just one door, just one place. And behind it was a system connecting schools, medicine, insurance, law, and government records. Money, money, money, money, money. And policy networks that go even farther than that. You're listening to Doc G and the Discussants.

Yeah, when we say at the end of the day it is the end of the day Well, I don't know why not what was it that he did yesterday decided that Lake, Ontario is now Lake America He says now he just needs to have a lake in the Gulf. Now he says he needs an ocean. Well, we're now policing the Strait of Hormuz as US territory. Maybe that will become the lake or ocean USA or whatever he's calling it. It all sounds good to me. I mean, it's fine with me. America first. I'll tell you what, that's someplace I'm not going with you on.
I mean, when he has a temper tantrum with one of our longest allies and renames a a long -named geographic feature like the Gulf of Mexico. Everybody has to change their address because it has a little temper. Didn't our ally crawl in bed with Chi or Xi? I think I told you about that. He keeps treating our allies like he doesn't much care for them or makes them feel as though they have an adversarial relation. Some of them may decide they want new friends. With friends like us, who needs enemies?
Yeah, that's a friend to start with. He's going to go to China. I don't know. I'll tell you what, I'm surprised more people haven't. I think it's an opportunity for China to realign the world with folks who are a little tired of being told... where to tow the line at when they're a sovereign nation. I don't care for that. I wonder where all those respirators that he had made are these days. How many do you make? Millions of them is what I understood. I'd like to know what... More than had ever been made before.
Yeah, and no one's ever seen anything like it. No one. Never seen anything like it before. It's the greatest thing ever. And, you know, I'm the best president that's ever been. He and George Washington and, what, Abraham Lincoln and just... My word. Just, just... Sometimes it's just a little too much. And that was another one of those times where it was just a little too much for me. Let's... The lake, what is it, Lake USA now? I'm glad I don't get mail at some town that says Lake Ontario someplace because now my zip code's screwed up because they had a temper tantrum.
Let's see.
Yeah, maybe. They're not wrong about everything. So let's see, where are we at? Sure, I forgot where we're at. Oh yes, we're talking about this policy network that's basically built the system and then made it normal. So in healthcare the blueprint has been advocates for trans equality, describes a comprehensive systematic approach, rights education, Education is always at the center of this. Movement building, enforcement, insurer policy changes, attorney networks, and precedent setting litigation, including ending exclusions affecting transgender minors.
And we've seen those things play out across the country where they've filed suit to make sure that they can participate in basically schools folding because they didn't want to join in the lawsuit. And plus a lot of them basically support this movement. So there's. an integrated agenda. The movement advancement project tracks pediatric medical treatment, sports, facilities, pronouns, forced outing, curriculum, insurance, Medicaid, shield laws, identity documents, and non -discrimination enforcement as parts of the one policy field.
And so how it reinforces itself is like this. Medical recognition supports legal recognition. Legal recognition changes schools and sports. Sports teach the language. Insurance makes treatment routine. And then litigation and administrative complaints enforce the result. At this point, let's play an actuality. from a guy named Shannon Minter who I've watched testify on a few occasions who is trying very hard to normalize these things. Right now, the federal government is taking unprecedented action, something that has never been done before in the history of our country, using subpoenas issued in secret to demand families private medical information without telling parents.
so that it can use their children's medical information in any way that it wishes with no limits. These actions are happening on the heels of multiple federal courts rejecting similar attempts by this administration. The judges rejecting those attempts were nominated by both Democrat and Republican presidents. One judge found that the demands contained, quote, more than a whiff of ill intent. Another concluded that they were motivated by, quote, extensive evidence of animus against transgender people.
As a transgender person myself, who's benefited from a supportive family and church and from access to medical care as a parent, recently a grandparent, I can tell you what is at stake for these families. their rights and their freedom to make medical decisions about their own children. So this was a guy who went from state to state who testified on medical policy to make it more possible to get this gender surgery or you know hormones those sorts of things and you know he would Remember, this is a transgender male.
I get confused about it. I thought you were going to say you went from male to female, then back to male. I may have, but anyway, it was so... The policy was, or the testimony was very slick. It was to sort of pull at your heartstrings, and it was very normal. My grandkids, my kids, my church community, yada, yada, yada. And this was all part of the policy process, too, to sort of soften the middle and say, well, what do you mean that this isn't a normal situation? Everybody knows this is a normal situation.
He was the NCLR legal director. defending the medical side before the Senate, the government is baselessly attacking safe and effective medical care. That was the gist of the testimony. So at what point does this collection of policy attacks become a coordinated policy network? this is what I'm getting at is this is much much larger than we bring a kid before a bunch of legislature which I always had objection to I knew that some of these children were just too young to know what they were talking about and you know they would pull at the heartstrings they would say things that just aren't true and no one would challenge because there's a cute little kid.
And of course, you know, no one wants to upset a cute little kid. They use these cute little kids over and over and over again. And then they bring the other experts in and say, this is completely normal. This should be legitimized by insurance. We all know that we need very good medical care to make sure that everybody's well taken care of in the country. And so that was a second prong of the attack. comments from discussants, besides on Lake Ontario. Are you talking about Lake America? I am. I'm talking about Lake Ontario.
I kind of remember it was called Ontario, wasn't it? Back a ways. I remember that. Now that you mention it. Well, I don't know. Pulling at heartstrings. Pulling it what large intestine pulling it colon. That's it's just more Perversion engendered crap from the adults in charge. It seems like yeah, I think that's a I think that's a strong word but I think I'm gonna agree with that word because When you use little kids like I've watched them be used Little kids who really don't know what they're talking about.
They're basically at that age asexual you know they don't really know very and and they shouldn't know if you're going to be a child for any length of time at all and you're set at the center of an extremely contentious debate by the side that is using you to do so I found it disturbing to say the least so do you suppose that these little kids kids in general when they're little boys seem to play with trucks and so forth the army guys girls play with dolls naturally just naturally so if a little boy is playing with a doll all of a sudden Is this being used by the parents to now tell this little boy, oh, well, you like to play with dolls, so you must be a girl.
I mean, is that where that comes from? Let me tell you what they would say. They would say that comes from a patriarchal society. And they would throw in some race, you know, a white patriarchal society that forces little girls to play with dolls and wear dresses and be subservient. They do it naturally. Okay, I'm just, let me finish. Okay. And they would say that that is not necessary, or that that is the result of oppression. And that, I don't know what, it sounded like a motorcycle ran through the professor's living room there for a second.
But they would say that that is the result of an oppressive Anglo -Saxon, white -centered male society causing little girls to want to play with dolls and giving little boys freedom to play with trucks or do as they want and forcing women into roles. That is feminist Marxist theory. That's what they would say. What do you say? I say no. I mean, because I don't. You see it happen every day. little girls like to play with little girls toys, baby dolls, and everything like that. There are boys that will play with dolls but not the same way that little girls do want to be a mommy and have their little babies.
Oh gosh, I don't want to hear that again. That's horrible. I know. Little girls would want to be... And imagine a little girl wanting to wear a pretty pink dress. And brush your hair. But that would be their argument, and they probably wouldn't give up on it. Hey, I have little girls, and they like frogs and turtles and snakes like the boys do, but they still don't think they're little boys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, Professor, any closing thoughts before we go to a break? Same old thing I was as Sarah was speaking.
I was thinking parents the parents Parents is their problem. It seems like anymore many many adults have had their development arrested at about high school sophomore age This is but when it starts to affect their children, it's particularly disturbing when we come back We'll add another dimension to this policy process. But the other thing we're going to do is review a cruise that we took not too long ago where we floated through the Gulf of Mexico down through...
Where? Yeah, the Gulf of Mexico. We floated through there and then we went... Where is that? Oh, is that in Mexican territory? Yeah. Anyway, we took a cruise. We went through the Gulf of Mexico. Where else did we go? I don't... I don't either. I'm glad we're reviewing it next week, because it sounds like a great review already. It was a few years ago. But I think actually then we would have been right. It was the Gulf of Mexico at that point. So that's how it was.
So what happens when you decide that, like the professor did back Monday, when he said, This is just ridiculous. It's ridiculous on its face. I can't agree more that this is ridiculous on its face, and especially where children are concerned. Well, they've got an answer for that, too. They actually have handbooks. They've done a lot of research into this little policy cabal. The anti -trans disinformation handbook gives four strategies. And first they want to limit the reach of those who oppose them, develop counter narratives, delegitimize opponents, and inoculate key audiences.
It recommends identifying people and organizations and attacking their authority before their claims become mainstream. Gate teaches groups to identify opposing actors, document their activity, report them to national and international mechanisms, and preempt their actions. They also don't stop there. It's economic pressure. They stopped toxic Twitter, united more than 60 groups, including GLAAD, PFLAG and the National Center for Transgender Equality to pressure advertisers unless Twitter enforced the coalition's preferred modern rules.
So if we go back to the NBA, the same architecture explains why a policy disagreement becomes harm, why protecting girls becomes hostility, and why institutions first suppress the dissent and then reconsider only after public exposure. I wanted to play an actuality that we played on Monday to show the sort of type of thing that gets coordinated quickly so we could review. She has recently become one of the most popular athletes in the WNBA. She's got a huge platform. She's got a podcast. She is suddenly now the darling of the right wing community.
She uses that platform to punch down on a group of people who are just struggling to exist and I find that to be despicable. Listen, she could say that I'm just doing this out of love or I'm doing this to protect girls and women, but her language is very telling and it's very obvious. She wanted to make sure that she left you with the most. stark and demeaning demonizing image possible young defenseless girls big hulking man in the locker rooms taking advantage of women in sports and she should know as a female athlete I would love to hear her thoughts on whether or not.
In her career, did she think it was trans women that were holding her back or did she think it was funding lack of opportunity and investment? So there it is. If you complain, if you have a difference of opinion, then you're tantamount to basically what I mean, did everything but call her a racist for this or, you know, a homophobe, which is another word they like to use. But. Again, it's just as we did a show not too long ago, and the professor was recalling some things that Charlie Kirk had said, and his assertion was that Charlie Kirk didn't have any hate.
And he's right. He was allowing people to come up and debate with him. He invited him to do so. He happened to have a difference of opinion. You're not allowed to have a difference of opinion here, and there's a whole policy arm to make sure that you don't. Send your cards and letters to... The professor said, you know, you might send your comments to him. Professor, what say you on this? I think all this literature you referred to, all these paperwork, brochures, et cetera, instructional content, all comes from Satanic Industries LLC, I believe.
Well, I guess I will then again repeat my suggestion. Send your cards and letters to the professor. If the policy network works as it's designed to, well then that's what's in the future. And it is very well coordinated. So is it a conspiracy? Do all these folks work together? I think it's pretty easy to see that there's a lot of cooperation between them. There sure is a lot of agreement. And so if we go back then to the WNBA and we see that the WNBA really leans towards LGBTQ issues, we just saw a new Was it a new character?
No, a new, what do I want to say? A new mascot the other day. And the mascot was basically... What is it even? It was representative of the Rainbow Coalition, much more so than just basketball. It was almost strange, especially with all the controversy that's going on now. So I think we can start to see... that they really are sort of between a rock and a hard place when they are asked to define what a woman is. If they do so, they were in direct contradiction to a lot of the policies that they espouse and so they're in a really tight spot.
Any suggestions for leadership at the WNBA? Anyone? Define a woman. It's the best way out. And it's the way out. And it's not that hard. It's the easy way out. It's the best way out. It's the truthful way out. It's the thing that is going to have to be done because if they don't, competition itself is going to replace every female player in the WNBA in fairly short order. unless they just refuse to draft men who identify as women, which they refuse. How many times do I have to go over this? Ladies, back off.
Remove yourselves from what you enjoy doing, your sport. It won't be forever, but back off. It's bitter medicine. And let all these guys that want to pretend they're women go out there and do their thing on your court. And culture will not allow this. for too long. I think that's right. I think that people are going to be forced, if that actually happened, I think people would be forced to take a side. And I think that their policy network is effective enough that it does scare people away from taking a stand on this issue.
Let's talk about somebody like Riley Gaines. Riley had no desire to become an advocate for women's sports. It was not on her radar screen. She wanted to be an athlete. She wanted to compete. And when she saw something that was blatantly unfair to her and the other females that were competing and swimming, she sort of drew a line and said, had enough. This is where I stand. And I don't think that it's too much to say that that maybe at the outset didn't take a lot of courage, but In the subsequent weeks, I think she found out how much courage it was going to take because she was brutalized by many outlets in the media as, you know, whatever name they could think to attach to her, they attached to her.
I'm glad they did that. I'm glad the media people did that because now they've shown their cards, so to speak. Now we know who they are. And I also think that they made a star. in doing so, because there's no one who's spoken more forcefully for this. Someone else who's spoken fairly forcefully for it is Martina Navatolova, who was a fantastic tennis player, a rival of Chris Everett Lloyd in the distant past, but won everything there was to win in tennis. She's warned that this just is not the way to go.
And she's been savaged by that policy network, even though she's part of that community. It doesn't take very long for them to identify even members of someone that they would say is a member of their community as an enemy if they simply disagree on this issue. And this is an issue that's eminently easy to disagree on. So how do they feel about Caitlyn Jenner? Hater. Yeah, hater. A former, and as we all know, decathlon champion who is recognized as naming the top athlete in the world and was a fantastic athlete for the United States of America has been an outspoken personality about ending this.
Just the other day, Charles Barkley came out and said this is completely ridiculous. So I think that the snowball is starting to roll the right way and that people are saying, hey, this is ridiculous on its face. They know that at some point people are forced to lie and continue to lie about a situation that is, as the professor said back on Monday, ridiculous on its face, and it is, then it's going to spiral out of control if it hasn't already. I think the vast majority of people aren't tuned into this kind of garbage that we are.
They're not observers of this non -stop like we are. They have their own lives, they're doing their own things, they enjoy whatever they enjoy, and occasionally they get a little snippet of input on what's going on. So therefore it takes a long time for the snowball to grow in diameter as it rolls down the hill. Yeah, I think that that's right. And how lucky they are. How lucky you must be to blissfully go about your life without worrying about things like this. And maybe, hey, maybe we ought to just mind our own business.
Yes, you reckon? No, no. If everyone would ignore this crap, then soon it will just encompass all of society. will be an atheist communist run or whatever. So we have to pay attention. As I said many episodes back it's like a fungi or a disease that's trying to overtake the country. It needs to be backed off. I think that's right. I do and I think that's why we're here. That's one of the reasons why we're here. We're here to test these propositions but when we find that they are faulty, somebody needs to say so and people are starting to do that and that's one of the main reasons we are here.
If this was a coordinated policy campaign, the Trump administration answered with a coordinated government campaign of its own. When we come back, we'll talk about

Hi, I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generation race car driver, and we dedicate a lot of our time to going as fast as possible. My grandpa Lou is the reason why my dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud to follow in his tracks. But when my grandpa was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump in the road for us. I've learned a lot on this journey with my grandpa Lou, and the memories of my grandpa will always be with me. It's important to notice if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with their memory, or having trouble with routine tasks.
Talking about Alzheimer's can be really tough. But if you notice something, have a conversation with your loved one. encourage them to see a doctor, or offer to go with them. Early detection of Alzheimer's can give your family time to explore support services, make a plan for the future, and access available treatments. The Alzheimer's Association provides care, support, and research to help you take control of the situation with your family and manage the disease together. If you or your family are noticing changes, it could be Alzheimer's.
Talk about seeing a doctor together. Visit ALZ .org slash Time To Talk, a message from the Alzheimer's Association and the Ad Council. Here ideas are expected to survive inspection and talking points are like snowballs in hell. If you need an emotional support animal, this ain't the place for you. Now here's Doc G. Welcome back, last segment of the show today. What have we been able to prove? Well, organizations openly describe movements in building and model policies and legal enforcement, litigation complaint systems, media escalation, opposition research and economic pressure.
Their projects overlap and reinforce one another across institutions. And this is what you know, you should notice about all these policy approaches that are sort of having a cumulative effect. What we should also notice is that there is really one force that is on the counter effective, offensive, and that is the Trump administration. It has responded through the White House, the HHS, the CMS, and GOJ. funding restrictions, hospital rules, which we talked about about a week ago, investigations, settlements, fraud, and coding allegations.
And they've proposed civil liability and school parental rights enforcement. This is Secretary Kennedy just a couple days ago. Doctors assume a solemn obligation to protect children. Yet doctors across the country now provide needless and irreversible sex -rejecting procedures that violate their sacred Hippocratic oath by endangering the very lives that they are sworn to safeguard. The American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, peddled the lie that chemical and surgical sex -rejecting procedures could be good for children who suffer from gender dysphoria.
They betrayed the estimated 300 ,000 American youth ages 13 to 17, conditioned to believe that sex can be changed. They betrayed their Hippocratic oath to do no harm. So -called gender -affirming care has inflicted lasting physical and psychological damage on vulnerable young people. This is not medicine, it is malpractice. We're done with junk science, driven by ideological pursuits. not the well -being of children. A peer -reviewed report published by the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health last month confirms that sex -rejecting procedures impose medical dangers and lasting harm on children who receive these interventions.
So today we are taking six decisive actions guided by gold standard science. and the week one executive order from President Trump to protect children from chemical and surgical mutilation. So there it is. We're not mincing words in the Trump administration about this sort of thing. If we harken back a week or so ago to some shows that really question the Hippocratic oath, these comments came after those shows. That was exactly basically our assertion. I'll go to the professor first here. There's your administration in action.
I couldn't leave that rhetoric from him. He sounds like he's right here talking along with us. The same almost inflammatory statement. So I'm glad to hear that. It kind of relieves me a little to know that there's somebody at a higher ranking position that's speaking in the... The same vein. Now, I guess it does feel good to have the truth told. For me. It's a little foreign, but... Right, and it does, that's exactly the right, I think, description. It does sound a little foreign, doesn't it? I mean, you have to...
Check whether you heard that right? Hey, is that right? I mean, are we actually going to act like adults? Are we actually going to say this is bad that this is not the way we should be treating our children? Surely somebody from the Democrat Party will kill him. Surely he'll be assassinated in the next few weeks, I would think. is something that I really, we just had a show about that. We talked about the Cold War maybe getting a little bit hot and you know, I don't even want to say what's in my mind about that because I think that that's unfortunately all too possible in today's rhetoric and did you hear anything mean in what Secretary Kennedy said?
No, and that's what I was saying before and one of the other things how do they get so I'll use the words radicalized that that is their response why can you not just Come back in and in a normal way, but maybe that is normal for them Well, I'm gonna answer like they would answer. What's normal? There is no normal. It's all perceived and it's all been constructed by this patriarchal society that emphasizes white men and this has programmed you to say the word normal. It's a ridiculous thing to say, but it lets people create their own truth.
It lets people hang those sorts of words around. and believe in that sort of thing for years and years and years, and maybe for the rest of their lives, and they're completely miserable with them, like this DSA thing that's going on. When you hear their leadership interviewed, they sound like junior high school kids, and they act like there's a money tree. Yeah, they act like there's a money tree growing out behind Donald Trump's house and he just needs to go shake it a little harder so he can give that money to you.
And why won't he? Because he's mean. Just because he's mean. They're going to keep it to themselves. And they act like someone, I don't want to get way out on this, but they act like someone like Elon Musk hasn't earned his money. Let's see, what all has he done? He has created a reliable electric car, maybe the first one ever, a space company for gosh sakes. What else? Starlink, incredible things that everybody wants to buy. And they would act like he hasn't earned that money. He has earned it.
Someone like Bill Gates, who had a fantastic idea that everyone in the world wants to come to his doorstep to buy his products and services, and they want to say that there's something evil in that. And somehow he owes them his money. That is jealousy, envy, and just flat out crap. And if you believe that, you're just a miserable person. Join us on the side of joy, for gosh sakes. Because these are people who - Shut it down, you're starting to sound too much like me. Too far afield when we were finally kind of getting to a point here.
So does this open coordination cease to be conspiratorial merely because the strategy was published? Or does conspiracy require proof of a single command structure? And should the federal government answer or dismantle the network or risk constructing an opposing one just as coercive? You know, I think that this joining of the battle by the administration is something that, as we've got into, had a little fun with the Lake Ontario, Lake of America situation a little earlier, and I can't imagine another president going this hard on this policy in reverse.
It takes courage to do so, and I appreciate the courage of Secretary Kennedy in articulating basically exactly what we said two weeks ago. Did he not? Yes. And I also am very happy to see that this wasn't done in anger. This wasn't done in malice. This was done because they are genuinely concerned about the welfare of these children that were involved. And so I applaud these policies and I applaud these efforts. Any final thoughts from any discussants on this matter?
It seems like it's all been said, and as I mentioned before, Kennedy sounded like he was right here with us. Actually, it was unreal. Yeah, I thought that it was well laid out, and I thought that the Secretary basically said it like it is. We want to thank you once again for staying with us and for supporting the show. We invite you to go to the website. And we want to invite you to join us on Friday when we will review a cruise that we took in the Gulf of Mexico.
